<![CDATA[Shadows of Kin - Part 1: The Light And The Dark]]>The sun lay low in the sky, casting long shadows over the small town of Eldergrove. It was a peaceful place where families thrived, and the bonds of kinship were celebrated. The Linwood family was at the center of it all. They were known for their strong love and support. They brought light to the town, using their ability to heal and protect. However, beneath this appearance of peace lay a darkness that few understood. Their youngest son, Kael, had always been different. From a young age, he showed an affinity for shadows and an unsettling ability that made the townsfolk nervous. Voices seemed to follow him, labeling him an abomination and a sign of the destruction of Eldergrove. His siblings, once his closest friends, started to pull away, their love fading out of fear. As the years passed, the gap between Kael and his family grew wider. Unlike his siblings, who seemed to thrive on their parents' affection, Kael faced hate. Although his family tried to support him, their love was mixed with fear of what he might become. On the day he finally left Eldergrove, he took with him their rejection, the hate he felt clinging to him with very step.
