<![CDATA[reseting my fishtank:P]]>yall i got 31$ in quarters and a coupon that gives m 20$ off a 50$ purchase at pet supplies plus (which is a pretty trash store but beggars cant be choosers)
my tank had alot of algae so my parents forced me to take everything out and clean it (which you should never do btw) and i decided i might as well use this as a chance to make a new set up!

i hope to be able to get sinking pallets since my fish are all catfish and cant eat flakes from the top of the water so they have to sink first which is just bad for water quality, plus the pallets are more nutritional for them

i rlly want to get live plants bc my tank is completely artificial, plants prevent algae and my tank is overcrowded so the plants will help filter it
i want floating surface plants specifically bc they dim the light (my catfish dont like bright lights) and are the best for preventing algae and look cool
i also want some black sand bc sand is better for catfish then gravel:P
hopefully i cant buy everything i want and get some cool plants

i left with everything on my list:D

and a Betta fish TvT
so turns out i had EXTRA change and the betta fish was in a tank with OTHER fish so i was like 'whaaa' and i joked abt taking it home and the guy said i had enough money to and i said my tanks too small but he said its fine bc i bought the plants and now i have a red tail white bodiesdbetta boi named Artemis (sailor moon ref anyone?) and the new tank set up is so cute and the catfish and Artemis actually get along rlly well! Artemis is so pretty and curious, betta fish actually have so much individuality, im so happy and i love my new bud sm:D

hes SOOO docile like he doesnt even bother my other fish! its crazy bc i thought all bettas were aggressive

my theory is that since he was in a tank with other fish at the store instead of being left in a small cup all alone and sad (like petco or petsmart) hes like more social and docile and used to other fish

im rlly hppy i went to a small business place bc i only bought him bc i saw him in a tank with other fish and the worker was rlly knowledge able and able to let me know how to manage a small tank with alot of fish

(yall you still shouldn't over crowd your tank, the specific plants i got are rlly good at cleaning water and my cat fish stay at the bottom and the betta stays at the top of the tank so they all still have room, i plan to get a bigger tank in the future!)
