Can someone please explain to me how I almost suffocated on the smell of sausage this morning?

that's mild compared to the fumes of COLD ginger ale being poured on my Wawa extra large cup (I lowk CANT EVEN BREATHE FOR 12 SECONDS BECAUSE OF THE STRENGH at those fumes)
