We only go that far if we've tried everything. First a warning or mute unless you were redoing in a extremely bad time. Like on sentimental stuff or in shoutbox if ppl were naturally discussing then you may get a short term ban couple hours or days depending. Then a ban for a few days or if we've already don't that a medium term ban maybe a week up to 3 depending on when you did it. After that we move to months and then we go to years or a permanent ban
However, Some users are just bored fine something funny and spam it.While it may be stupid to some extent it's human nature. If we bane d everyone who wouldn't stop spamming at one time for a week or so we'd have a lot less here. Then we permanent ban them all or just outright restrict the word. Whether it be physically, or in a post with ban noted it this continues. After that usually stuff calms down.
