So, yesterday, we decided to wash our front porch. Me and my mom put nitrile gloves on. He didn't.

He told me to "Hold this" while he pushed the water hose toward me. He had his ungloved hand on the spray nozzle threaded onto the end. I assumed, since that was what he was holding, he wanted me to grab that part, so that was what I reached for. Originally, I intended to grab an area that he wasn't touching so I wouldn't touch his with my dirty glove, but while I was reaching for it, he yanks his hand upward, which messes up my trajectory, so my gloved hand hits his.

He angrily yells "Hose!" As if I was supposed to know that's the part he wanted me to grab. Then he says, "That was pretty stupid of you to put your grubby glove on my bare hand. Are you a moron?" (He's been touching the same shit I've been touching with my gloves, so his bare hand is just as dirty) I tell him that I wasn't intending to touch his hand and that because he moved his, I touched it on accident. He then proceeds to tell me "Bullshit, you know what you were doing"

Like I did it on purpose??? Why tf would I do that?

I don't respond and let it go. He stays big mad about it. His body gets all tense and he shoves shit around with an angry look on his face.

While him and my mom are scrubbing the porch (we only have two brushes to scrub with), I decide to keep an eye on our dog, since he likes to play around with the hose water, which pisses off my dad. I try to keep the dog away from the area and distract him. When they get done washing it, I join them in taking stuff back on the porch.

My mom laid our welcome mats on the grass beside the sidewalk. My dad wanted to leave them there instead of taking them back up. My mom objected, saying that our small senior dog will use the bathroom on them. I joked about this, saying "Yeah, she's too dumb to tell the difference between those and the grass."

My dad's response to that was, "Yeah, you take after her because you're acting like your hands are broken." referring to the fact that I hadn't picked them up yet even though I was literally carrying smth else onto the porch. I don't respond, and while I'm setting the chair down onto the porch, he picks up the mats and takes them on the porch.

He then says, "See? Your hands are broke. Lazy piece of shit."

Okay, bud. I took two heavy rocking chairs up while all you did was take a plant stand and mats. You sure did break a sweat. And then you equated my intelligence to a "dumb" dog. Thanks.

I still decide to say nothing, but my blood is fcking boiling. Ugh.

I feel like he js actively looks for smth to complain abt.

He acts like this for the rest of the night.

He does this shit everyday. He insults me and complains abt nearly everything I do and then wonders why I seem bothered. What do I do in this situation, honestly?

I'm js tired of being belittled and nitpicked all the damn time, and then told to eat it and shut up because he's the parent and I'm the child. I genuinely don't want to be around him. Then he gets mad that I stay in my room all the time. Is there anything that he doesn't get mad about? Probably not.
