Majority of times, you just wanna create a character that you connect with on a deep level. Expressing your own sexuality or queer identities in your OC creates an attachment since you both share experiences and is easier to articulate said experiences in the characters. Mainly because you have prolly dealt with it first hand๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘ #blabbering

I personally don't have issues with shipping straight characters or anything, but my 2 main OCs are queer/lesbians, so ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

I often find myself in this situation as well. I don't create OCs really unless they're for a fanfic, but I do feel that I'm always indifferent to straight ships even when they're canon. I don't ever find myself shipping them. I'm not disgusted by them or anything, but I js don't fancy them. I do the same with yuri, actually. I'm just not interested.
