I hate my scars so much. They’re ugly and bright against my skin and just a terrible reminder of what I had done. I hate them because they look unhealed even though they are. I hate them because I have to hide them. I hate them because they’re a reminder of a time I don’t want to look back on. I hate that I have them and the sad reality is that they’re probably never going away. I don’t want to wear short sleeves or go a day without my bracelets. It’s not just a reminder to myself, it also makes those who care about me worried. My friends ask if I’m wearing my necklace and remind me to eat and even though it’s out of love it makes me so sad. I don’t want them to view me as a kid that needs help, but rather a teen who is trying his best to overcome everything (it doesn’t help most of them are older than me). Sorry for the vent, I just wish I could undo this.
