Ohioan here, meaning I'm in the Eastern time zone. Was so confused just now because I saw that it was 1:59am, and when the minute was over it was suddenly 1am once again.

I thought I was going insane. Turns out I'm just an idiot. The clocks were supposed to go back an hour and I forgot

Why couldn't they do ts on a Monday when I actually need the extra hour of sleep

This could very well be a result of my very small brain but the user interface confuses me. Everything is a bit close together and something more similar to the layout of BDNS would be better for me personally.

Also, question, do you have to verify your email in order to post?

Greetings, BrowseDNS! Hope you all are doing well!

Although I'm quite aware people are not as interested in these game reviews as I am, I still apologize for missing many weeks. I've had no motivation, and this past week or so has been particularly hard. I plan to resume my weekly game reviews for those of you who may have interest in what I have to say.

That being said, I still take requests! I'm yet to get one and would gladly review YOUR game of choice! I love community interaction!

Amanda the Adventurer is one of my personal favourite game series' of all time. A while back I posted my thoughts on the first game, and it only feels appropriate to post my thoughts regarding the second game as well!

The second game still features the playable character, Riley, from the first game. Except this time, they're in the library Aunt Kate worked at before her death, taken there by the masked woman (Joanne) from the first game's "true ending"

I love the second game. It has the same layout as the first, and is still something I would recommend if you like the "analog horror" genre. However, if you dislike puzzles, this game will feel like hell. The puzzles are SIGNIFICANTLY more difficult than the ones in the first game. As someone who is normally good with puzzle games, even I had to look a few of the answers up.

I also wish the secret tapes weren't s hidden behind extremely difficult puzzles as well. They're too important to the lore to be THAT hidden in my opinion.

I rate Amanda the Adventurer 2 8/10. I really really enjoyed it, but the downsides I mentioned are what made me take off those couple points. Overall an amazing game still!!

Hello everyone! I hope you've all had a lovely Halloween!

During Blumfest 2026, it was confirmed that MatPat, a beloved (now retired) Youtuber and star of Game Theory, was confirmed to be partnering up with Blumhouse, the production company behind some popular horror films (such as the FNAF film adaptation) to have a multi-project deal with lots of indie games!

They confirmed an Amanda the Adventurer film adaptation to be currently in the works; fans speculate it to be set for some time in 2027!

I'm curious to see this personally! I quite enjoyed the games, and I wonder how they will translate certain things into film.

My main questions are:

Will it focus on Rebecca and how Hameln manipulated her?
OR..
Will it focus on Riley and their discovery of the tapes?
Will it touch on Kate? Sam? Joanne? Jordan? Lauren? The other kids? Marcus?
Will the cartoon itself have the same crappy animation feeling? I SINCERELY hope so!! I think that's what makes it even creepier in the game. It feels like something you just barley remember watching as a kid until something is said that you definitely do not remember seeing.
How will it translate player interaction into film?

Time will tell!
