@UnpaidIntern what you were using is great if you are trying to make like, chipnote or old, flash game music, but if you wanna make something more complex i'd recommend using ether of those two

Check out my beginner music (i made it in ultrabox)I listened to sun, it's good, I would recommend using band lab or I personally prefer to use soundtrap. both are basically bootleg versions of better, non-free music makers. both have a virtual piano and a piano roll feature as well and on soundtrap you can edit the sound of your instruments as well and you can possibly do that on band lab too
