What was the last game you guys played? -
Let's talk about the Social-Economic state of the world right now!@_Izzy_ I wouldn't say its unnecessary because not only was I discussing your reply, but the main point of the topic itself is to discuss "the social-economic state of the world" right now, so the conversation and points I made still apply to the general discussion anyways.
Although, I do agree I could've said it in a paragraph, but a lot of people on here are just plainly uniformed (not saying you are lol), so might as well just take the advantage explain it while I'm given the chance. I'm just a yappatron3000 when I'm passionate about a certain topic too, lolz.
Anyways, I'm also not disagreeing with you or saying your wrong necessarily, but I just wanted to make it known. It's strange to blame the people and not the system itself whose the reason life is the way it is.

What would you guys do if you woke up and was the opposite gender?@Gamizavier I know, but it's not that horrible and it's not even a 100% guaranteed chance that you'd get it as soon as you wake up π I dunno, I'm a girl myself, and the cramps are obviously bad, but the women who have really immense pain during their periods usually have issues with their uterus and stuff. You can always just take meds to help with the pain if it does creep up on you as well,,

What would you guys do if you woke up and was the opposite gender? Why is every guy saying they don't want a period ππ y'all do know it only happens for a week every month, and it's not THAT horrible. It sucks, but menstruation shouldn't be feared π

Let's talk about the Social-Economic state of the world right now!@Gamizavier I hope so too, but the direction the whole world is headed devoids me of any hope. Id say that we should start taking action now, but people have been saying this for years.

Let's talk about the Social-Economic state of the world right now!@Gamizavier Yeah, I'm on the completely other side of America. I live on the western side where its much more densely populated, so it might be different for you guys over there (well, some states are)

Let's talk about the Social-Economic state of the world right now!@_Izzy_ I mean, there's numerous reasons why people are poor, and the biggest reason why this is, is because there's simply a job shortage. The economy has changed so much and is vastly different than from when your father was an adolescent (which I'm guessing is about 20-30ish years ago).
I'm gonna try to keep my explanation short and explain this like a 4th grader bc its late and my brain is highk tired, but the main reason people don't have jobs is because a lot of places aren't hiring. The main reason for this is because the economy is shit at the moment; inflation. Jobs aren't hiring because either they don't have the money to employ a ton of workers while also maintaining the standard costs of running a business or they're not willing to take chances, even if its a corporate mega-chain. Which, is because the consumers themselves don't have the money to buy the goods the establishment is selling. Why? Because of the economy.
Its only going to keep getting worse and worse because of the state of the world. Trump closed deals with oil rigs in different countries. Oil practically runs the world. I wouldn't say that there's a shortage, but we definitely have less oil coming in than we used to. This means that the cost of oil will increase because:
If there's a shortage of something, the price of it will increase since it is in high demand and there's not enough of the item to meet said 'demands.' I could continue to explain this, but I'm sure you understand basic quantity and cost jibber jabber,,,
Not to mention, there's high stakes for a possible war. Wars are expensive, and this only means that the economy will suffer for obvious reasons. We're practically in a great depression right now, its just less noticeable because of the constant distractions of everyday life,,, but thats a different discussion. I would continue on about this, but i can't because we're not allowed to get into politics and topics of that similar nature.
It's a known thing that college graduates can't obtain the jobs made for the degrees they've worked so hard on achieving, and this is because most companies aren't willing to take the risk on a new-hire since it can backfire on them in the future; lose money. Hell, I even have friends who've applied to dozens and dozens of jobs, only to get turned down. They weren't even crazy jobs, basic fast food establishments won't even accept them. Further adding onto the college discussion, since no jobs tailored to their major are hiring, students go into debt and can't afford to spend money. This also contributes to the economy.
Not to say that your father isn't putting himself in that own situation, but not everyone who's poor is doing the same things as him. Often times, it's either because the system is putting them down or they aren't able to live a moderately wealthy life due to the need to support their children. Your father IS an example, but he doesn't speak for everybody.
I mean, my father grew up the same way; dirt poor and in a bad neighborhood. My father was so poor, he had to wear his father's oversized prison clothes to school for years because they couldn't afford basic necessities. He quite literally started 'from the bottom.' However, although we don't live that way anymore due to him putting in hard work, I have friends from other families whose parent/s work their [censored] off, yet they're still barely making ends meet. This is either because no high-end paying jobs that provide enough money to support their family are hiring or it can also be because of laziness like you said, but it isn't always the primary issue.
Applying another real world example is one of my friend's mother works as a dentist or something of the sorts. I forget which position exactly. Anyways, the family can barely afford to keep the lights on and this is due to the job not paying as much AND the need to support her children. Notably, in previous generations, working at a dentist's office was regarded as a high paying job. The mother has worked there for years, yet isn't experiencing the economy like it was years ago. Why? Because over generations, the economy has experienced noticeable changes I'm. It's not gonna be the same as when your dad was a teen.
I know I keep relying back on the fact that it's the economy, but it really is the main issue. Demands are high, but there a shortage of necessities, so jobs are attempting cut back on costs due to this, and the first thing to go is usually their worker's wages.
Also, you claimed: "i get annoyed when ppl just blame other ppl for why theyre poor," but in this capitalistic society, every person has an effect on the general outcome of the workd. Whether it be the environment, or the economy. I dunnk, just wanted to add this lil bit ;P
Not saying you're entirely wrong, but there's plenty of more factors on why people aren't working and there aren't jobs
(sorry for the yap</3). I hope you get the point in making
