I tried it on and tbh, it's not small enough but the corset part does help and right now it might the perfect size for the crinoline I have

attempting to turn a 3XL (*plus size skirt*) into a size medium or at least a large.the sticking is sturdy, it won't like, randomly fall apart at least lol, but it's like hands down the worst sticking i've like, ever made

attempting to turn a 3XL (*plus size skirt*) into a size medium or at least a large.I'm too embarrassed by my messy sticking to show it, but what I did was cut a large "v" shape out of the front, then sewed in the freying fabric on each side of the "V" then I stiched up the "v", effectively removing probably about 5 inches of fabric from the waist. I'm going to add some things to the skirt and then show it, like some cute detailing in the front and then i'll show it but it's too chopped to be shown now 🥀

attempting to turn a 3XL (*plus size skirt*) into a size medium or at least a large.@topratedsalesman I'll probably post a tutorial on making a skirt smaller after this, like some no-sew ones and some more advanced techniques involving sewing by hand (I can't use a sewing machine because of the light and fast moiving needle creates a bit of a strobe light which is not good and has triggered seizures for me in the past ಥ‿ಥ) but I seriously need to figure out how i'd like to fix the skirt first, do that and make the tutorial on that since I'll have example photos to use in the post for reference purposes

attempting to turn a 3XL (*plus size skirt*) into a size medium or at least a large.the skirt has grommets like a corset, i've put it on with it sinched up all the way (like, to the point you cannot see the grommets and it honestly looks weird) I think with that, some alterations to the waist and wearing a massive crinoline underneath (I own a crinoline that's so big and poofy it turns skirts into something that looks like it's straight outta a Disney film) the crinoline needs to have a big skirt worn over it anyway in order for it to work and fit properly. the skirt is so big it's hard to photograph 🥹 so when I can I'll show it fully modified and on me with the crinoline underneath. idk, that's today's project lol, I'll post the fully-modified skirt here when i'm done, it's a 3XL but given things like the corset part, I think with some minor modifications I can get it to fit closer to a size large if I take in a few inches in several spots lol
