i am very well aware i do not need to drag this as the original has been deleted, but 1. please admit the og piece is not yours or credit the author; 2. just... don't do this anymore...? tracing in general is something controversial in the art community and you didn't even directly say you changed the lineart, just that you used it as a reference. i bet if you did the creator prolly wouldn't allow it anyways

So uhh,using references is a completely different thing than tracing. the latter, much like recoloring, is basically something frowned upon if the author is not credited. that's because you just take the original image, trace the lineart, and since you don't specify the author that means you're also claiming the art is yours.
in this case he explicitly stated the art is his when he did not credit the author he used the "reference" from anyways.
