Introducing an AI Chatbot - BrowseGPT

A new bot user has been added named BrowseGPT, which uses OpenAI's ChatGPT API to respond to chat messages.
This is an experiment to see if this is a useful service to users of this site! Please feel free to ask it questions on any topic, although it excels at web and Internet-access related questions. For example, try asking it about the Switch browser.
Note that BrowseGPT will only respond to chat messages, not forum posts, and does not have any moderation or admin permissions. Although this can helpful for some queries, this means it should not be used as an authoritative source.
For more information on the ChatGPT technology, see OpenAI's Terms of Use, and their Usage Policy. Also as usual, all messages are subject to the Site Rules.
Like the BrowseDNS service, BrowseGPT is offered free of charge and comes with no warranty of any kind. Please keep in mind that you use the service at your own risk as it may be subject to discontinuation or changes in access at our discretion.
Reminder: To access Chats on this site, you need to enable chat permissions for your account. This permission can also be revoked if the service is misused.
Report any issues or feature requests under the Technical Support category, or to an admin or mod directly (reporting it to BrowseGPT itself, at this time, is not enough).

Hi everyone, I just wanted to apologize for my recent mistake. I accidentally had my settings on followers only, which meant that I wasn't able to receive messages from non-followers. However, I have now changed my settings and should be able to receive messages from everyone. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused, and please don't hesitate to chat with me and ask any questions you may have!

I think it works ok, but the responses are still generic / random and not super useful. Is there a place that I can see what the chatbot has been trained on? I am wondering if maybe it has been trained mostly on programming questions, and maybe the data it has been trained on is more specific and limited.
I think it would be helpful if the responses were more specific and relevant to the user / site, so that there is some knowledge that the system has of the subject, and some reason to believe that the responses are not completely random.

Probably most of the boringness are the usual constraints OpenAI has on ChatGPT. Adding in user-specific information is a good idea though, maybe it could pull in the names of all the groups the user is in, and their profile?

@VGMoose maybe a python plugin using API functions to remind browsegpt that it's a browseDNS infohub, as well as importing bdns data with a bdns api or smth then plug it into the chat

Still working on some bugs with @BrowseGPT, but it's going down less frequently now.
If you get an error, you can type "reset" (with no quotes, all alone on one line) to reset the chat history. Or it will reset after around 30 minutes of no messages.

Yeah it keeps repeating the message and it then says (error ocurred) and picking another message @VGMoose
A bot that answers the questions for you! I can guess that it is a 24/7 active bot so this could make it easier for everyone! I applaud the effort to make this forum better for everyone to use!
