This part of controlling people and the internet makes the dictatorship last longer I fear.
The people will not know anything and over new generations democracy is forgotten, which is why the dynasty (government passed from father to son) in North Korea continues.

It's a very heavy dictatorship, they arrest, torture or enslave people who don't comply with the country's idiotic laws.

I dont understand why dictators are so obsessed with maintaining tradition, regardless of the obvious downsides, low morale, more laws, obvious retaliation. every country that embraces modernity have improved in some kind of way, whats the point of keeping these outdated, harmful rulings?
