The Recruitment & Training Department, in coordination with Administration, has completed the final review of Global Moderator Exam V1.

This examination is designed to be deliberately demanding. It evaluates not only policy knowledge, but judgment, professionalism, SPaG proficiency, and the ability to operate within the Chain of Command under real enforcement conditions. A passing score of 112/140 (80%) reflects a clear and measurable standard.

The candidates listed below have met or exceeded that standard.

• Exam results are confidential and are not to be shared.

• Discussion of exam content is strictly prohibited.

• Any breach of exam integrity or staff conduct expectations will be handled accordingly.

Further instructions regarding onboarding, permissions, and role progression will be issued privately by Recruitment & Training.
Candidates who did not pass are expected to review the handbook thoroughly and address deficiencies before reapplying when eligible.

In addition to this, we have a few late exam takers. With that being said, their usernames will be added if they pass when they finish their exams.

Password Reset Requests

I will be placing some new policies in place regarding password resets in the event that you forget your password and are unable to login.

Requirements FOR Password Reset Form:

• Must have the Email connected to the account requested

If you meet the above qualifications, message one of the @Global-Moderators on a new account or email us at contact@browsedns.net using the email connected to your account and within 48 hours you will be sent a password reset form via email and you will have the opportunity to change it. Please note that we will only send you this email twice and if you do it again, unfortunately, you will have to make a new account.

Account Security Code Method:

If you do not have an email, message a Global Moderator whenever you get a chance, that moderator will send you a 16 digit security code that you are expected to keep up with. If you misplace it or leak this security code it is completely your fault. After a security code is used, you will be given a new one. We will only reset your password twice. If you do it again, unfortunately, you will have to make a new account.

If you manage to get locked out of your account w/ your security code:

• Message a Global Moderator saying you used the security code method on using a new account. Ideally have an alt account prepared and let us know that it is your alt.
• Send them the 16 digit security code. Double check for typos!
• Once the authenticity of the security code is confirmed that Global Mod will have an administrator reach out to you within 48 hours. DO NOT MESSAGE AN ADMINISTRATOR, WE WILL MESSAGE YOU.

Closer to the 15th I may release that info for everyone. Ideally it will just have the place everyone is in and some inspiring messages from some of the users.

I have seen lots of responses that are very kind and heart-warming about several different moderators, which is something that has really made my day.

Here is my unrequested input:

You have free speech, you can post anything you like even if it is against the rules. That is your decision!

Because we have rules that you agreed to when registering your account, breaking them when using your free speech rights gives us the right to restrict access or give suitable consequences for that action.

Okay so to be clear, BDSM is inappropriate, sexual and probably prohibited on every 13+ website. It technically falls under being inappropriate, but i think it is better to be clear.

and Nareds new rule is 100% reasonable. We were spammed by over 10 bots while you were offline.

and my recent rule saying not to mentioning drugs, weapons or anything of that nature is just... something you wouldn't want on a 13+ website.

All three new rules are in place to create a safe atmosphere, and if you're trying to justify that they're not needed then I find that ridiculous. The @administrators already know they can come to me if they do not agree with any of our rules.

I want to first start off by saying thank you all for your continued support through my year of moderating BrowseDNS. While we have all had some rough times together there is more to come 100%, it is up to us to stop that from stopping us.

Us (BrowseDNS) have so much potential. We just need to show these other websites why we're the best!

While we are co-admins we will keep all of you safe and promise to uphold the values of the site and services to the best of our ability. I have been moderating for almost a decade and Maribitt has moderating for a long time as well. Let's practice our administrative skills, shall we?

Obviously the first couple days will be rough and we hope you'll be patient with us.

The bad news is that we did not get to remove the post queue completely.

The Good News is that we lowered the reputation requirement for bypassing the queue to 20, which is over half the amount it was originally. I have enabled the post queue temporarily. I asked that you're patient with us as we navigate through our troubles. In addition to this, BrowseDNS VIP Memberships are now available.

Requirements for VIP Membership:

• Been a user for at least 1 month or is a trusted user.
• No Mutes or Bans in the last 30 days
  Be aware that we may decline your request for VIP with or without reasoning, the decision is up to the staff member you requested it to.

Category Changes

Created - Forum Archives: This category is a substitute for thread deletions, any old or useless threads can be moved here.

Created - Regular Blogs: This category is for any regular blogs you would like to post. IRL Blogs should remain in the IRL category.

Restricted - Edge Of The Forum was temporarily disabled for around 11 hours, we had an issue with the Questions & Answers plugin which basically marks your threads as a question or as a solved question. It was doing that for every thread, which was a glitch.

Bug/Glitch Patches
All In Progress Bug/Glitch Reports can be found here.

- Seems there was an issue with the text colors not functioning, I believe that it was because you were posting in Edge Of The Forum after I disabled the category through the admin panel.

- Every post was being marked as an unsolved question despite the plugin being disabled for every category. This should be fixed.

- Seems there was an issue with old notifications not going away. If you encounter this click "Mark all as read" which is found inside your notifications window.

Moderation Features

Muting Users - Forum Moderators will eventually be able to mute users. This is not a ban, the user that is muted will not be able to create any messages, threads or posts until the mute is over.

Work In Progress Projects

There will be a new feature that puts a spoiler on all gifs... It is unclear if this is a mandatory thing or an optional setting.

We are actively looking for new category ideas, our plan is to remove all the inactive categories and replace them with better ones.

New Rules & Guidelines

Mentioning or Speaking about drugs, weapons or any illegal activity is prohibited.

We suspect that it is the Switch Software Update that they forced on their users this week. However, these issues should be fixed, if they are still occurring message someone on the team!
