Is a nightmare before Christmas a Christmas or Halloween film?
-
I'd say Halloween bc my family always watched it on halloween- but honestly, I can see someone watching it on Christmas. It's kind of like Gremlins in that way.
-
its before christmas, not during christmas
@TheAndyboi But it's set a day after Halloween? and the whole plot is literally about Christmas, they become obsessed with making it their own. Christmas is actually in the movie too, it's similar to the Grinch actually except instead of intentionally ruining it they tried making it better

the name is always right

Its not a Halloween movie if its after halloween, nov 1st is like the start of Christmas /silly

ngl I'll say its both its not when it takes place but the whole start of the movie is yeah after Halloween but the mayor is already excited about making plans for next Halloween so originally it starts off as a Halloween flim and then transform into a Christmas movie when jack discovers the door that leads to Christmas town

@YourAriesBestie I think it’s a thanksgiving film.

@YourAriesBestie I think it’s a thanksgiving film.
@MisosoSoup I can kinda see why you'd think that, but thanksgiving isn't really mentioned. The only time it appears in the film is via the doors showing different holidays

I'd say it's a Christmas film (Btw Ash says its a mix of both in his opinion)
