Empty lament
-
In silent rooms where shadows creep
A whisper threads the air
The weight of knowing I exist
A burden hard to bearEyes unseen, they trace my steps
In corners dark and wide
The fear of being watched persists
No place for me to hideDetached from all the world around
A ghost within my skin
I wander through the echoes vast
A stranger looking inOnce I leaned on love's embrace
A faith I thought was true
But found the warmth a fleeting mist
A heart that never knewIn hallowed halls where spirits speak
I seek some solace there
A medium to bridge the void
To lift my whispered prayerYet in the quiet, all alone
I find a truth revealed
That in the stillness of my soul
My wounds may yet be healedinspired by @YourAriesBestie
