I still see the stains on the carpet from last summertime
The last of that wine, now probably considered 'mature'
I was dreading this summer, probably because it still reminds me of you
But why?
Was it the dandelions that flow, swiftly and beautifully
or the dogs you can't keep away, they'll bark all day
The snails that truly aren't aware they're so hated
Which is it?
I hardly see what I saw now, holy cow
