The sun on my skin would bite and sting,
The heat from the grass loud and present,
Lemonade, sugary and sharp,
Seemingly endless, days that unfolded into our life,
Chasing dragonflies, a boring game,
Stupid games I wish I cherished,
Afternoons droned on, bees humming around,

Now, the sun on my skin a gentler feel,
The grass would feel warm scumbing me whole,
The lemonade, consumed in silence,
Time no longer seems endless it has started to compress,
My day’s seemed endless, the moments so much longer,
The chase now forbiden some peace, solitary, given presence,
The past now, slowly decaying,
Unraveling around the memories,
Evenings are slower, breezes softer.

(2 of these phrases are somewhat said in a anime however I rephrased them heavily)
