Army Ants: Army Ants are scary. Army Ant soldiers have much longer mandibles than the work class of ants. Their queens are wingless and have abdomens that expand significantly during egg production allowing 3-4 million eggs to be layed a month. a lot of species of ants can be polygynous meaning they can have multiple queens but Army Ants can only have one. Soldiers can be 3-12mm in length.
