@Ninety9 i had band camp already and i still have practice and i just got my uniform so first try to remember all the names of the positions and practice at home to so u can get better and my band director does sum called squeeze the toothpaste by stepping on u heel and then going down, also wear very comfortable shoes bc i worn my adidas superstars and my feet hurt so bad but luckily i had sum comfortable nikes, and under ur uniform ALWAYS wear shorts never jean and no long sleeves only when its cold but uhh idk what else(im clarinet so i dont have a lot of tips for u but have fun!!)

ouu also try not to wear jean shorts bc they will rub against ur thighs and hurt(i learned my lesson) try to wear like those silk short

if u dont have any go to like goodwill, i didnt have any and i found like 7 pairs

practice... a LOT. upperclassmen will start to get annoyed if they dont hink ur putting enough effort in. (thanks Kaylee... haha..)

@seal yes omg i hate when i mess up and i almost get ran over and i have to run bc the upperclassman will almost run me over and they are all taller than me so..

@seal so when i mess up i dont get ran over bc when u mess up and get ran over or pushed out of the way, ppl will just walk right on top of u or around and thats my biggest fear since im the shortest person in band(im 4'11)

@ext.savy thats crazy.. upperclassmen should atleast be trying to correct u. i personally dont mind when newbies mess up, as long as i can tell theyre trying
its a LOT tolearn at once, dont putpressure on urself or feel bad if u dont have it all down right away

@seal im friends with a lot of upperclassman bc ill talk to anyone and they are nice and if i mess up or get out of line they will tell me but the band kids at my school are nice
