Emails should be required when you sign up. Why wouldn't you want to have one on your account?
If you lose or forget your password, we are not responsible for changing it for you, especially if you have not registered an email after it was recommended to you.

@Maditalian only thing some people owuld have a reason not to like is if they only have the switch and no gmail but other then that there's nothing wrong with it

I'm sure there is email options that work on Switch. Regardless, emails that are registered with your accounts provide that extra layer or security.
@Maditalian gmail doesn't really work. i manged to log into my email on here, but the site won't function, it just kept reloading :p
i think the best slutoin might be to ask a trusted friend to make an email for you. -

i think the best slutoin might be to ask a trusted friend to make an email for you.@Yanderemenhera same problem. just about every mainstream email provider is too bloated to load on the switch. i resorted to minimalist email providers, and theyre usually using thunderbird webmail. riseup.net and cock.li are decent email providers that (1.) work on the switch, and (2.) are relatively FAR more private than gmail, outlook, yahoo, etc.
