hmmm... i'd have to say phonk, but not because it sounds bad. i dislike it because of the way that it was on of those things i was talked down on about growing up. for example like watching anime or playing video games as a girl, and now all of a sudden its the new trend and it has blown up because of tik tok by the same type of mostly girls but very much also boys that used to be so rude to those of us that like it. not a gate keeping thing, im glad its getting recognition now! it just really ruined it for me, same for certain artists like melanie martinez, i love her music still, but bc of the edits for what was it? pacify her? i cant remember, but yeah because of that, it brought on a lot of new fans and a lot of those fans were very mean or knowitall-ish and were being mean to us og listeners. so it just kinda ruined it for me, and i just don't enjoy listening to her as much as i used too... if any of that makes sense lmaooo
