As Finn and the others got ready to face the evil force threatening their home, they didn’t know that the cause of their pain was Kael. He had come back, not as the brother they once knew, but as a figure of revenge. The years had hardened him, and the hurt from being cast out had turned into a desire for payback. In the dead of night, Kael sneaked into the Linwood estate, hidden in shadows and filled with rage. Finn stood at the entrance, prepared to protect his family, but when he saw the figure coming from the darkness, his heart sank. “Kael?” Finn’s voice shook, disbelief flooding through him. “Look who it is, the golden boy,” Kael shot back, his eyes shining with anger. “You’ve done well for yourself, haven’t you? While I was thrown out like a leper.” “What happened to you?” Finn urged, taking a step closer. “We were family!” “Family? You mean the ones who abandoned me? The ones who taught me that love comes with strings attached?” Kael’s voice was filled with bitterness. “You’re all the same light-bearers, blinded by your own pride.”
