Not accepting a poll. Shitposts are in the shoutbox and chatrooms, forums will stay for organized discussion.
EOTF is indeed an area for off-topic threads, but memes, pointless comments, etc will not be accepted.

@Pwsincd will hopefully share a viewpoint similar. Shitposting shouldn't really be allowed at all.

@Raven But wouldn't it attract more users as bdns is in need because everybody is leaving and the population and the popularity is decreasing tremendously. As the debate is continuing I would like to say not every user goes on shoutbox and just posts so this would probably entertain them too.

We are trying to mix our userbase with more diverse ages and personalities. If we just say hey shitposting is allowed everywhere then the people who dislike shitposting and want normal discussion can post on the forums. Its very unpleasant for shitposts to be the first thing you see when you enter the site

@Raven but wouldn't that only be %5 of the users who don't. Most users like shit posts so wouldn't it be smart to make a choice that the majority like
-
If I dont mix it up a little for the 5% of users then what do you think they'll do?
Get tired of the site and leave.

@Raven how about we come to a agreement if there is more than 10 shit posts a month you can delete or lock the extra ones
-
This rule is non-negotiable.
-
But shouldn't you be able to vote for things you don't like with bdns and if both parties don't like it even if one voted more come up to a compromise

Like I stated, this a non-negotiable for me. It was suggested that we removed shitposting as a whole, you are lucky enough that I said it was allowed in the chatrooms. You're pushing it a bit when you continue to ask.
Anyways, is there anything else we can help you with?

@Raven shouldn't we get the opinion of the owner @VGMoose also
This has nothing to do with him nor any of the Service Administrators. VGMoose does not represent himself as "the owner". He holds the very same title as the rest of our administrators. Myself and @Almond are incharge of the forum and ensuring it's under control. So no, we do not.
I am not up for negotiating on our community standards and values.
My words exactly:
Letβs be incredibly clear: Shitposting is not allowed here. Despite the rules being stated numerous times, there seems to be a persistent and delusional narrative that this behavior is tolerated. It is not. It is unnecessary, it degrades the quality of our discussions, and it stops now.
