    Anyone seen this? https://remarkable.com It's a note-taking tablet with an epaper screen (very long battery life).

    Somehow I'm just now learning it runs linux+ssh out of the box, you can access the root account on it, and there's a whole community maintained set of programs for it too: https://toltec-dev.org

    All devices should be like this! Someone even made a browser for it: https://github.com/alex0809/netsurf-reMarkable

      yeah following you posting this on discord this morning i had a look .. i am impressed with this , i don't have a usecase for it .. but it is smart.. my kids may benefit but the price holds me back from just buying a notepad

        The price is annoying cause I basically sold myself on paying $300 for it, but then they hit you with ~$100 more for the stylus...

          oh the stylus is seperate .. odd .. then the pad is functional without the stylus i suppose ?
