I'm nonbinary, but my parents don't support that kind of thing. What do I do?

Wait until you're 18 and/or financially independent, honestly. Unless they're more iffy about it than they are non-supportive, you have decent mental health, and you're in a safe environment, then you can be a little shit and insist that you'll be using they/them pronouns + a new name if you're doing all that. Don't recommend it though. Good luck friend!

@Nonbinary_wolf Trust that your parents have your best interests in mind. They want the best for you and it's important you listen to them. Don't just shut them out like some people do. They have been on this earth way longer than you. I encourage you to have a genuine conversation with them, hear them out, and maybe get some therapy.

@Plus4 Thank you. I have some friends who accept me for who I am, and that makes it easier to handle my parents non supportiveness.
