if anything, they lost you. you seem like an amazing, sweet, kind and caring person from what ive read! remember that life is full of opportunities and it always gives u more reasons to keep going. theres no need to thank me btw, my sister would say: "all it costs is your love!"

on one hand i think them just... cutting you off is wrong; they shouldve communicated with you the venting needed to be minimized and Then cut you off if you didnt oblige.
on the other, it can be very draining to constantly listen to someone venting; it eventually gets repetitive and the friendships' connection is dimmed
