a guide to song creation

as a music writer of 3 years, ill finally share my guide on the best way to write one.
the best example is a poem, theres a few types.. tanka acrostic cinquain.. and many others.. the thing in common though with poems, would be a "rhyme scheme" a rhyme scheme follows a set of alphabetical ordered letters in a pattern with the ending being the rhyme.
for example a good one would be: ABAB
A: i was once a small boy
B: used and beat in a home small town story
A: only thing that cared was my small toy
B: all i heard was that voice in my head and it told me.or another would be:
ABBA
or any other it can even beABCABC or ABABBA etc etc
a rhyme scheme is your best bet. try it out sometime :)

another good thing for your song can be a break in it after followin ABAB for so long lets say like...
ABAB ABAB ABAB C ABAB ABAB ABAB C
that way through the song you can have one rhyme as a constant, which could be your song name.

rap mostly follows ABAB or ABBA for those rappers out there

another big thing would be listening to a metronome, you can find sfx on yt. it sets the pace for notes and lyrics, for example. agressive songs are faster paced while sadder songs are slower paced. a good way to learn is looking at songs you like and listening to their vocal timing.

@King-of-Curses it helps when you count a certian ammount of ticks then you change pacing. like another part of a song for example... babydoll - dominic fike goes from a sad-ish "babydoll, i cant move on" till a rap part, then goes to a slower "dont call me for the wrong reason, we both know exactly what im thinkin."
