Sadness is a feeling that fills me inside
a heavy weight i can't seem to hide
it comes and goes like waves in the sea
it makes me feel lost, like i'm not me

Sometimes it creeps quietly at night
And other times it's a blinding light
it makes me wanna cry and scream
to lose myself in a distant dream

But sadness too will come to an end
Eventually it'll become my friend
it reminds me of the joy i have known
and how much iv'e grown and owned

So even thought it hurts to feel this way
I know happiness is not far away
For sadness is but, a feeling tide
And soon enought i'll be full of pride.
