as the evening drew closer, you felt a sense of dread as you put on the exquisite gown that had been chosen for you. you took one last look in the mirror, and couldn't help but feel like an imposter. the reflection staring back was the embodiment of the role you were about to play - that of a radiant bride-to-be - a role you had no desire to play, but one that had been forced upon you nonetheless.
as you made your way to the grand ballroom, you tried to steady your nerves and remind yourself the reasons you were doing this. but as soon as you approached the entrance, you couldn't help but feel like you were walking towards your own doom. the room was filled with strangers, all staring with expectant eyes, waiting for you to make your grand entrance.
