URL constraints for pfps on switch

Ive tried changing my pfp via manually typing in a URL instead of the image search option to try if images outside of image search work. (im on switch so the file option doesnt work)
The URL i tried and doesnt work:

https://cdn.pixabay.com/photo/2021/02/07/19/39/kirby-5992484_1280.png(im aware that the 2nd URL is for a picture that is in the image search option however the URL that i used is differently, the one from image search is way to long for me to remember to manually typing it in)
It seems that only URL's from pixabay work, is there a way to make other URL's also work?
(i will do some more testing but these are my current results) -
thats a system fault i think rather than a pixabay issue .. i couldn't edit your account using the URL you posted but could upload the image from PC.. will have a look into it when I get a moment.

actually i didnt realise it was still an option ... was written on the old system , may be some new issues... where does it appear for you ?

after i type in the url i cant see the image and when i try to just update it to the photo i picked it wont work and there's no blue bar to show its reloading and even when i reload the thing it still doesn't work

@pwsincd when i click on my profile and then on my pfp theres a "upload new picture from URL" option, when i click on that theres the "image search" option where i can search for a pixabay one

ah ok when i simulate being on the switch on my PC that doesn't show for me...
