i kinda agree with @gh0st on this tried to cover songs that's way to go finding the best instrumentals from the song you like even though if you are writing a song think ideas that come to your mind .listen when i wrote the weeknd mashup i listen to a couple songs from each album made into a song i came up with sentences that would fit each song title
