Asus ROG Ally or Steam Deck

I want a budget computer (UK) that can handle being portable, playing Terraria, Minecraft, The First Descendant, Muck and more games.
It also has to handle 2D / 3D Unity or Godot game dev.
The Asus ROG Ally Z1 Extreme is £499.99
The Steam Deck OLED is £479.99I have a monitor if I want a PC experience. I want just a portable handheld computer for older and one or two more modern games and game dev.

Steam decks are horrible I got a mini PvP that can run a bunch of stuff like Fortnite Minecraft or terraria and I’d say it’s portable because it’s like the size of a mini box

I used PC Part Picker. I 'can' build a PC for 500 however tne motherboard I believe has bad VRMs and if I upgrade the mobo, I have to resort in worsening other part qualities. Build is Ryzen 5 5500 and AMD RX 6600.
*Note the Ally is 520 GBP on Amazon [censored] of now and it should reach min requirements for TFD, having the Radeon 780M, similar to the GTX 1650 and an okay CPU

@HenryLeeFN it is, it runs on steamOS which is based on arch linux, the steam deck has a full desktop outside the big picture mode of steam and you can switch between it anytime

@HenryLeeFN it's a handheld pc, like the rog ally except the specs, shell with buttons and OS are different, they are both still pcs

@HenryLeeFN note handheld pcs also have incredible price to performance, the rog ally has a better cpu and gpu than that mini pc, and the steam deck, while having a slightly worse cpu, only 4 cores (does not matter much for me), it has a better gpu than the mini pc
TLDR: both steam deck and rog ally are better than the mini pc for gaming

@HenryLeeFN you also might be confused du to the nintendo switch, which is very closed and limited yet the steam deck and rog ally allows you to do anything that a pc may do, including game dev (game builder garage does not count)

Buddy it’s not a pc that doesn’t make it a pc there are controllers for it and you don’t use a keyboard and mouse so that doesn’t make it a pc

Also the graphics are worse on a steam deck
