i was wondering what benefits we gain from adding an email bc everytime i log in i get a message saying it may be necessary for chatting but i can still chat. So what even changes?

i mean if you are going to put forward a legit email it helps in alternate comms between staff and members.. also it is useful if we did enforce email authentication of accounts. none of this is deemed necessary currently. I dont see an issue with actually using your email
