IS A hotdog A SANDWICH?

A sandwitch is two pieces of bread ontop and under a filling
i understand why ppl would think it is but disaree mainly because the bread of the hotdog is 1 and they say u have to hold the sandwitch vertically and u hold a hotdog like a tube up to your mouth.

it depends, a sandwich ia typically defined as an object comprised of 2 outer objects, one on each side. so normally a hotdog is not a sandwich, but if you completely split the bun in half, you now have a sandwich
