I enjoy literature when i'm having a strong feeling, I can express myself in a peaceful manner. I just enjoy art in general if i'm 'in the mood' to actually commit to a drawing or not

Hello, Hello, Hello! I haven't done one of these in a while but it is actually late night this time! I know, please stop the applause. But on a more serious note, what has BDNS become? better? worse? well, here's my standpoint on things as of now. I do very much feel as though BDNS has lost it's wonder that first attracted me to the site, but I think that's beyond anybody's control to be honest. One thing BDNS is famous for is that not many people actually stay or at least remain active. Another thing which has kind of off put me is the newer user base, i'm going to be completely transparent and say that I hate it, mainly because I think most users just lack maturity and originality, everyone's trying to be like Andy or hop on another stupid trend instead of just choosing to be themselves but something must be going right because i'm still choosing to stay, i'll give it that. Uh- that's it from the BDNS rant. Do want more of these? let me know! thanks

Yesterday we lost a TV legend, Catherine O'Hara. Although you may not recognize her name you'll definitely recognize some of her iconic roles such as the mother in Home Alone and in Beetlejuice as well as the voice of Sally in The Nightmare Before Christmas. RIP Catherine, you'll be missed.

They were arguing, again. I never understood why Mum always felt determined to have the last word. They're arguing because of you, I wanted to hide, crawl under my bedsheets and never return. A loud slam of their bedroom door told me it was finished, the panic is over. Well, at least I thought it was until my door began to open, the loud creak filling the house. It was Dad. He didn't say anything, I blinked and he was already at the side of my bed, we locked eyes not saying anything. What was he gonna do? grab my phone? at the thought of that I gripped it tighter, my sweaty fingers going pale. He moved his hand over to the neck of my pajamas and dragged me out of the place I thought to be the safest. My blanket still on me but slowly sliding away almost as if leaving a trail behind me. As he opened the door to the kitchen a voice escaped me that I didn't even realize to be my own,
'STOP'
He ignored me and finally let go, placing me by the door. It felt weird to stand up, almost as though I had chicken feet.
'LEAVE, JUST FUCKING LEAVE, WE DON'T WANT YOU HERE'
His face didn't match the one I once knew, it was as if a demon had possessed him. I wanted to scream, yell, anything but instead I just stood there tears making my eyes go blurry as I felt them gather in my eyes. I attempted to walk away but he decided he was going to try and slap my leg first, something took over me and I dodged it. That just made him worse, he picked me up and threw me on the floor as if I was just something being put in the bin. He walked away and left me there. I lifted my head up and I felt as if i'd been on one of the worst rollercoasters of my life. My dog came over and licked me, almost as if he was trying to help or maybe it was just because he liked the taste of my tears, either way I appreciated it. My mum was around the corner and didn't even ask if I was okay, just told me to go to my room. She really did care a lot, didn't she?

I told my friend about it the next day, and they said to report it but there was something in me screaming louder than my dad ever did, telling me not to. I was becoming the person I never once understood, it won't happen again.

Tbf, I think it could just be the new user base. I miss what BDNS was like when I first joined, now most users are kinda annoying and immature

I'm sick of people posting about how they're gonna hurt themselves or giving me details about their mental state that is too much or too personal. Firstly, let me be honest and say I don't give a shit. If you're not my friend I honestly don't want to know. If you are seriously mentally struggling go tell someone who can actually do something, or who knows you not fucking randoms on the Internet. Yes, I made a post mentioning my mental health, but what I didn't do was go into details. It should stay brief and you should have a genuine reason to bring it up. Secondly, it looks like you're seeking attention, i'm gonna be honest. Most people either tell their friends or get professional help (notice how these people will care and actually know you?!)
Yeah, i'm sick of being worried about being seen as 'mean' because in reality, i'm being honest about what everyone else is too scared to say.
