With the amount of polarisation today and the fact that stating any opinion gets you flamed, I would say keep politics off this website. Having a mature and civilised political debate, even with an adult is almost impossible, let alone on here where the primary age range is 13-17.

Honestly, my only stance on this matter is this:

If "conservatives" can make fun of George Floyd, then "liberals" can do so with Charlie Kirk. Of course people are going to be upset, but, you cannot stop it. On the whole, nothing will change. Both political spectra will always have someone or something to start conflict over with the other. The only people I truly feel bad for is Charlie's children, but that is really it.

Good evening. It has been quite a while since I last accessed this website. The reason is... quite embarrassing to say the least. Right before my vacation to Germany, I decided it was a good idea to rid of some of the junk on my device, specifically on Google. However, I had completely forgot to tick off the section where it logs me out of all websites I am logged into (one of them being this one). Naturally, I got logged off, and I did not think much of it. Fast forward a week or two after I had returned home, I decided to log on here again. I entered what I thought were my login credentials, but it did not work. That is when I realised I stored my password incorrectly, and I was almost certain my account was toast due to using a temporary email. Alas, I got that sorted out. Credits to Raven for getting me out of this predicament. I shall be more mindful on how I store my credentials next time. The worst part is that this was not the first time this had happened.

Excellent opinion essay. I find myself in complete agreement with every point you have listed. Though, might I add, I also find the usage of AI in cheating also repulsive to the highest order. It is fine if you use it in learning; to find out why something is the way it is, or to get a quick summary on something you want to research in detail (if absolutely necessary). But, using it to cheat is akin to watering an entire flower field with herbicide just to kill a weed. Sure, you have solved one temporary problem, but you have created 10 more long term ones. It is a mere hydra game in disguise.

Am I really the only individual that finds this abhorrently annoying? Say whatever you will, but I straight up cannot tolerate seeing it on my screen anymore. I have thought it would go away after a week but I guess that was obtuse optimism. Either I am missing something extremely obvious here, which is unlikely as I have searched every nook and cranny to get rid of it, or it is there to haunt you forever.

I totally concur with Araghie. Literature, while also very important, in my opinion fails to convey emotion as much as art and music can. It is all about text, and text interpretation is quite hard to master, which is precisely why people resort to either art and/or music when they want to express their feelings. Arts advantage is that people can convey their emotion through colour very easily, and also through the style of drawing. Music, like my amie said, connects people through soul and emotion, but also through its harmony and tempo/dynamic. Lyrics, while optional, play a massive role in it, too.

Good evening. I am Idyll, 17 years old, turning 18 next year.
For most of my internet experience, I have been on and off numerous different websites that have some sort of chat function in them. Some of them were forums like these, others just regular chatroom websites. I am quite observant, and I tend to stay away from more chaotic environments. I favour more mature and proper conversations, rather than small talk. I know I may appear a little scary, but, fret not, I can assure you that I am nice, so long as you are respectful.

I enjoy doing physics, electromagnetism to be specific, and I like watching maths/chemistry content on YouTube, from people like: Nile Red, Veritasium, Mark Rober, 3blue1brown, Blackpenredpen, etc. It probably will not then shock you that I plan on studying electrical engineering in university once I finish up with school.
For now, I do not do any type of sport. I used to train swimming when I was younger, but I quit a few years ago.
For music, I like Jazz and Classical the most. Beethoven's music is one of my favourites, the absolute best of his being "Piano Sonata No. 15 in D major, Op. 28", also known as Pastoral.
I am fluent in 3 languages: Croatian, English and German.
My greatest issue is that I tend to get annoyed quite easily. While I can control my anger, it is not 100%. Sometimes some innocent people are on the receiving end. Apologies in advance if any of you are met with cold or stern responses.

Good evening. I hadn't posted any topic since my introduction, so I figured why not do another one, to start up some much needed proper discourse. Anyways, to get straight to the point, if I were suddenly given, let's say €50 billion, here is what I would do:

⁂ Modestly spend my money. That is the most important step in this situation. I cannot go out splurging all of it on useless niche items, or throwing it around like sweets at a wedding.
⁂ Purchase a large cosy cabin high up in the Alps, or build one myself. Quite the relaxing spot to spend the rest of my days. Very peaceful, and the fresh mountain air is very healthy, not to mention the breathtaking scenery. Of course, the cabin would be furnished with only the highest quality furniture, and it would all be an elegant shade of viridian.
⁂ Along with the cabin, I would also purchase a few antique tea sets, along with a rich variety of teas, all which would go in a special sanctuary in my cabin, specifically for that collection, acting as some sort of tea museum.
⁂ Donate some of my money to well-respected charities. It would feel rather inelegant hoarding all that wealth to myself.
⁂ Visit many places all around the globe. One cannot say they have had a proper life if they have not been to some of the ancient gems like the pyramids in Egypt or the ruins of the South American civilisations. And, no, the US is not on my bucket list, if any Americans here are wondering.
⁂ Open up a café. It would be open only on Saturdays, serving only the best teas, scones, coffee, biscuits, cakes, you name it. It would have a special quiet corner for those who wish to spend their time in peace, but, of course, also a corner for conversation. After a long work week or school week, who wouldn't sit down and get their mind off things for a little while?

There are many more things I would like to do, but I have to cap it off somewhere. Look forward to hearing from others.

The amount of maths' hate in this thread makes me sad. Maths' is not even that hard, it is just a matter of logic.

In my case, I like Physical Education the least. Say what you will, but I genuinely do not see any use for it, unless you are planning on becoming an athlete, which I do not.
It is not that I hate doing it, It just isn't required in my field of study.

The one my text is currently coloured in. It is an elegant shade of Viridian. As for why? I do not even know. I was once messing around with the colour picker and randomly set it to this. I fell in love with it immediately. It gives me some calming effect, weird I know.
