@Kurupa Thats IF the switch is told by the NintenServer to keep network chip running for the update or other required connection

@VGMoose The reason why the time is delayed & pings stop is because the internet chip is powered off while the switch is asleep

I've been finding this also, more often with newer Switch Updates. Nintendo trying to restrict further?

Be careful with the Nintendo Switch update, when my Nintendo Switch updated, it caused the browser timeout to change to 10 minutes, and it closed without warning.

@daniel-johnson Videos may not work because

1. The "portal browser" on the switch wasn't built to play videos
2. Nintendo restricts this feature [Can't you use Youtube?]

The browser does the same thing on the normal captive portal-When I connected with my guest net, which requires captive portal approval, I left it run without tapping "Agree and approve sign in to: ClownFish Switch" and after 20 minutes it closed itself. This info should help!
