@StarryPeach See guys-? Wolfie didn't say anything to support either of us.. This is just a topic where Aries is saying people pretend to be depressed. And those people shouldn't do that, she never said anything about if she assumes anything or if she thinks people lie about it.

@NightmareWolfie Obviously I agree, and I would support someone if they said they had depression, but I would still ask if they are diagnosed. I think its just stupid how people say they are depressed when they really are not

@StarryPeach Can you take it down a notch-? I think she means people say they are depressed and then she later finds out that they were just acting like they were. I know Aries well, she would respect someone if they said they had depression. Also, she was referring to bdns AND YouTube, I'm sure she saw multiple posts saying something along the lines of "in my depression era".

@StarryPeach Me too! This topic wasn't directed to you, I was simply trying to help you understand why she posted it, and why we should not romanticize depression.

@StarryPeach If your acting like you have depression then your disrespecting people that actually have it, and are just lying.

@StarryPeach Shes not, shes saying that people act like they have depression for attention, just because you have depression does NOT mean this is targeted, in fact it means the opposite. its calling out the posers. I have depression too. Shes saying people self diagnose themselves sometimes or say they are "depressed" just because they are sad. Depression is a mental illness. Hope this helps you understand her.

keep in mind, this is only a maybe. so I'm not taking a break for sure. essentially, I've been really down recently. Its really a combination of things on this site, and in real life. I feel like I need to do something but I dont have the guts to do it, or maybe I'm scared of what will happen if I DO do it. Some of my good friends know a little bit about what's been bothering me, but I feel very overwhelmed and it feels like everything is moving so fast. I just wish I could talk to people on here more, such as some of my friends. And I miss some people that left. But that's just on here, there's a whole other situation outside of this site, so I don't know yet.

@Aries I have been thinking this for SO long, I actually have depression. Its not some grief or sadness. It's a mental illness. Its not a trend, an asthetic, an era. It's a sickness that takes peoples lives.
