@Raven Please raven don't do that. It would be greatly appreciated if you stayed merciful to the others who weren't involved. So please raven I beg of you not to do that. Thank you and have a good day. ^ ^

No, it's too many of you doing it to not turn it on as a whole. I am not about to make the mod team consistently deal with these kind of posts. It's tiring.

Apply for Global mod!
@Eggyz999 said in Forum Moderator Role:
Will this increase the amount of globals? Will all the current moderators just be promoted to globals, or will they be unemployed?
Good question! They have a choice to continue as a Global Moderator or to retire. If they want to become global, we will look over their previous performance as a mod, and depending on the results of that they will likely be made a Global or a Trialist with the rest.
Following our recent staff restructuring, we want to provide clarity on the changes regarding the Forum Moderator rank and our future plans for the site hierarchy.
β1. Why is the Forum Moderator role being removed?
β
At BrowseDNS, we are moving toward a "Global-Only" leadership model. In the past, Forum Moderators were confined to specific categories, creating gaps in site-wide security.
β
We are removing this role to eliminate those gaps. We no longer want "local" helpers; we want Elite Global Observers who have the skills to monitor the entire platform simultaneously. By thinning the hierarchy, we ensure that only the most professional and technically capable staff members represent our community.
β
2. The Shift to "Trialist" Status
βThe Forum Moderator badge is not disappearing immediately, but its meaning has changed. It is no longer a permanent rank. It has been repurposed as the Trialist phase.
β
What it is now: A temporary 4-day probation marker.
βThe Transition: If you see someone with the Forum Mod badge, they are currently in the "Elite Sprint" trial. They are being watched, audited, and tested.
βThe Future: Once our current recruitment and transition cycle is over, the Forum Moderator role will be permanently deleted from the siteβs code. You will either be a Global Moderator or a User.
β3. What we plan to do with the "Trialist" Period
βWe are using this role to filter for the Observer Standard. During this 4-day period, we plan to:
βTest Technical Prowess: We are looking for those who can use Admin tools silently and efficiently.
βEvaluate Silence: We are watching to see who can "back away" from the chat and observe the logs like the Administration does.
βFinal Promotion: Only those who prove they can handle the high-pressure Global workload will be promoted. All others will have the Forum Mod/Trialist badge removed and return to regular user status.
β
4. The "High Quality" Filter
βOur plan is to keep the staff team small, elite, and silent. We do not want a large, chatty team. We want a few high-quality Observers who can maintain order without becoming the center of attention.
βThe path to Global is narrow. This restructuring ensures that only those who truly embody the BrowseDNS philosophy will carry the badge.

Moderation Interviews have ended
We are only looking for Forum Services.
@ThatisRico said in Newsletter- June 2025:
Never mind. Because I found it. :-) Sadly there is are short staff to do the monthly newsletters. It just takes 5-15 minutes of time to do that in once of monthly. Oh well.
No it doesn't, we have to first find information, organize it, pick a staff member of the month, and hand it to Forum Services to complete. It takes about a day or two w/ collaboration.

News, not new. Are you specifically referring to my posts or?
send them in the writing category and tag me
All of our new rules are discussed with the team and are based off of incidents that have happened on the site. Looks to me like youre saying we're making new rules for the "smallest things". If you agree with the new rules then what does that mean?
To be clear, based off of 3 reasonable rules that you personally have agreed to you are saying that in the future we are going to make unreasonable rules? I do not follow
Congrats @Apollo.Is.Silly!!!!!
Hello! I know you're saying "NO MORE NEWS POSTS" right now. Here is another one.
We've disabled the option to delete accounts for the following reasons:
If you want your account deleted contact the @Global-Moderators and they will guide you.
Note that you MUST have a registered email with us in order to request an account deletion. All account deletions must be sent to contact@browsedns.net and it should be with the email your account is registered with.
We will be looking to find ways to reverse account deletions if you ever do delete your account and want to come back... that way account deletes are not permanent. Until then the option will remain disabled.
Thank you,
