@Abaddon64 man idk i've asked them but i never got an answer, they're also just straight up a chronic liar for some reason (seriously they could've just admitted to tracing, stopped, and nobody would've cared). They also randomly faked a reveal photo using AI, which like there's no way they're not innocent atp that's like the exact same type of weirdness

@Abaddon64 no that was @innocent, the "previous owner" (accoring to noctis) of @noctis's account, who is, atp, just straight up larping @noctis or is essentially the same person personality-wise, in terms of interests, and everything else.

the username was changed from @innocent to @noctis

Plus doesn't leaving a reply kind of defeat the purpose of an anonymous downvote, since people would just assume that you also downvoted

Also if your friend is doing it out of like a fear of social consequences, you could note that there is literally zero place or group you want to be in where admitting you're wrong is worse than not. Shaming someone for literally just admitting that they made a mistake and apologing is kind of asshole behavior. It should result in forgiveness (well unless crimes were committed or something) and other people generally liking them more than if they didn't admit they were wrong

if your "friend" is self-aware and wants to do something about it i'd probably start by asking them what makes them have this uncontrollable fear (assuming they're not doing this consciously) then have them try to resolve or self-reflect that first. Like, for example, which specific aspect of admitting that they're wrong scares them, such as the fear of possible or possibly non-existent social consequences coming afterward. And to try to willpower/brave their way into doing it anyway despite any remaining fear

What's funny is that this topics actually still has the joke of mimicking The Thing I'm Talking About Like In The Other Topics. I made this post after someone said I focused too much on hating so i technically "accepted valid criticism and genuinely changed as a person" (although not too much lol)

title, i dont think this is good it feels like it might turn into reddit-type voting where it's an anonymous echo-chamber where there's just downvotes for zero reason, plus if you don't like something it's better to be honest. It's also disjointed because upvotes aren't anonymous.

It prevents people from getting mad at downvotes and targeting whoever but those people are going to be toxic anyway (there was a guy who did this to me but got banned right after). Plus, it discourages actually commenting why you dont like something in favor of complete anonymity (it's kind of an anonymous forum anyway this just makes downvotes used more often when it's not necessary). It results in more actual downvote attacks
