using superglue would probably be your best defense imo, only drawback is that moving the pins would be more difficult but you could also crack the superglue with some patience

edit: with patches then i agree with saying it'd be best to sew them on, even iron-on patches are known to fall off/loosen eventually

if you mean socially then it'd just be important to monitor your feelings and behavior when you're around or away from others. socially i wouldn't say that anyone is 100% introverted or extroverted, it depends on your preference and energy. cognition (like in the jungian sense) is a different thing though
