Wolfie, my adopted father, I've only known you for 189 days but yet it already feels like a year of my life. You are the kindest person on here and you're always willing to put others needs ahead of your own, even if that means listening to someone yap for two hours just to make them feel ever so slightly better you'll grip the opportunity. I could ask every single person on here what they think of you and I can be certain that I wouldn't see a single negative opinion. You've helped me in more ways than I ever deemed imaginable and you continue to help me just by listening when I thought nobody else would. You never fail to make me laugh, even if it's just some stupid eeveelution quotes about gambling or a typo which despite your efforts to edit it, I still notice.

The fact that you tried complaining about this is diabolical, diversity is really a thing to be celebrated. If everyone was the same, let's face it the site would be plain out boring. It appears you've been on here since July too, so we must be doing something right.

Yes, you read the title right. I'm officially the new Forum services manager!? Not to be confused with Forum Moderation manager which is @nightmarewolfie 's job. I'm going to be writing rules and organizing events to (hopefully) bring this community closer! I want to make it so that when users are on this site they're looking forward to the participating in events instead of feeling bored. I will also be writing a newsletter for news on anything regarding BDNS. If you have any suggestions for events etc, please DM me.

I joined this site nearly 2 months ago and as soon as I got to know the users, I knew that I was here to stay. when my account was under a month old I decided to apply for the mod position but I honestly thought I wouldn't get it, but low and behold I did! I was so excited to finally repay the users who had shown me indescribable kindness and I'd like to say I did. I've always loved English and writing so I didn't really think twice when it came to accepting this job. I look forward to working with the forum services team and making a difference on this site. Thank you all I really wouldn't be here without all of you.

Recently I've kept on seeing two things on here that are seriously annoying me.

1. Making your entire personality about your partner, like go ahead date someone but don't fill up my entire feed with topics about how much you love them. I didn't exactly want to know

2. Telling everyone you have a long list of mental illnesses and bringing them up as excuses at the slightest inconveniences. I seriously doubt that even half of those illnesses you're claiming to have you've actually been diagnosed with and using them as excuses when there's actual people who suffer from those things is just attention seeking at this point.

These aren't directed at anyone specific these are just things im starting to see pop up more and more frequently. If you think one of these is about you, then take it as a friendly warning to stop.

Hi, i'm Aries or as my username says, YourAriesBestie! I first became a moderator a mere 5 months ago back in May, I really enjoyed it and have been giving it my all since. I enjoy moderating because it's my way of giving back to a community that has already given me so much also the fellow moderator community is so, so, SO kind and have welcomed me in from the start. I think being moderator of the year would mean the absolute world to me but yet even if I don't get it there are numerous people who deserve it 10x more than me, good luck to them all.

I've seen quite a few, but not many, users complain about mods. Saying phrases like how much they hate them because they did this, that etc. May I please remind you that you don't understand the amount of pressure mods experience and how much they actually help the site. Even if you swear by hating all mods you have to understand that at the end of the day, they're just people trying their hardest to help the site and most importantly help YOU. They even have meetings every week to try and think of ideas to improve your experience. So hate on them all you want but this site wouldn't be as good as it is without them.

@NightmareWolfie - If you want to be friends with ANYONE on Bdns it's this guy. He's been there for me since basically day one. Absolute goated global and just an overall amazing person.

@Orbital - Although we got off to a rather rocky start He's been a great friend for me over the past few months and he never fails to make me laugh

@dawnthedemon - Even though we've only started talking recently she has been a MASSIVE help when it comes to Bestiechat, she's always happy to help and just a great person to chat to.

Who am I?
Hello there! I'm YourAriesBestie or Aries incase you haven't seen me around before. I joined this site April of this year, which is honestly shocking because it feels like longer. I've had my fair share of positions around here, so you can be comfortable enough to say I have an idea of what i'm doing. I've made some great friends on here, or even just some good conversations honestly and I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for those experiences. I mean, happiness can't even describe my feelings towards this.. so it's time to reveal that I'm your new investigations manager!

So what does this mean?
well, the investigations manager is similar to being a global other than certain abilities like banning people. I will look into any reports made, making sure they're handled fairly and I will also do internal investigations on any reports made towards anybody on the staff team.

My aims
My aim is to ensure thorough and accurate investigations from now on, making sure everyone feels as though it was handled to the correct standards and I also aim to communicate more with the community, I want to make sure that you all feel happy, safe and included within this community (which, I won't lie feels more like a family to me now). I basically want to become the Sherlock Holmes of moderation, if that makes sense.

I hope to make you all proud and succeed as much as I know possible in this position.

Hate

There is so many hateful people in this world, it's honestly so, so, SO depressing to realize. Yesterday, I watched a youtube video by Niko Omilana where he snuck into a anti immigrant march dressed as a old man. Incase you didn't know, immigration has recently become a big topic here in the UK and there's a quite prominent group called The English Defence League, lead by a rather ugly looking guy named Tommy Robinson. Now there was a march going on in London lead by said ugly dude which is what Niko attended. Now it's important to remember that the EDL claims to ''not be a racist group'' so Niko wanted to test that by seeing what they'd really say to someone who appears to look like them. I wish I was joking when I say that all the people he spoke to other than ONE gladly admitted they were racist in some sort of way. One woman even went as far as admitting she had 3 knives in her bag ''just for the muslims'' I mean it's disgusting really, who on earth would even joke about doing something like that? but there it is, the EDL is very clearly a racist group and is anyone actually shocked? no.
