@Gabii is music not allowed in your religion? i understand secular music not being allowed because its kinda frowned upon for those in mine to listen to it as it can effect our mood and place thoughts in our heads like if you listen to Megan thee stallion all day what are you gonna wanna do? shake your ass and if you listen to rage songs about killing and stealing how are you gonna feel? on edge and if your always listening to depressive music eventually your gonna also start to feel a bit down its encouraged if we do listen to music it the kind that honors our God especially since Lucifer aka Satan (who was an angel but then got kicked out of heaven) was a musician he was extremely and very talented which is why alot of ppl say the devil is in the music industry or satan is in the songs we listen to, music was his thing. but what about worship music are you allowed to listen to it or just no music period?

@Enchanted in islam, there's such thing as 'latmiyas' (there is no arabic keyboard on switch), which is basically were ppl slap their chests (lightly most of the time ) whislt listening to a man recite poetry by singing about many of the holy figures in islam; either praising them or commemorating their deaths. in a way, this can be seen as 'worship music' because the reciter often uses many techinques found when someone sings, and more recently you can hear drums being played. i once heard a cello for some reason. but many ppl try to seperate latmiyas from musi, as like gabi said music is a sin and frowned upon by many.
