so, i used to go to ''group therapy'', it was actually daycare for teens. i dont think it was actually encouraged to talk about stuff, the shrinks, none of wich were redgesterd therapists, just people who've ''gone through stuff'' would ask you a question, like ''what do you want santa to give you for Christmas'' or ''how can you help you're mom out with chores'' and write it on paper, you'd get in trouble for talking to other kids during ''group'' and one woman put a 15 year old girl in ''time out'' bc she patted another girs head, and yes the other girl was ok wit this. but now you know some context, the staff there told my mom to get rid of my helluva boss shirt i was wearing there. it was just one with stolace on it, nothing bad. and she wa told to get rid of my skirts too ig, i always wore shorts or leggings underneath. but there was a girl who was wearing south park merch to group and that was ok. but the sfw stolace tee wasnt. other girls wore short shorts as well. i'll never understand this, like bro.... i'd argue south park is just as bad if not worse....

jokes on them, i mostly wear mens clothing now, fuck skirts. and my dad did end up giving my clothing back btw lol

yeah, talking to a good friend is better than any sort of ''professional'' help ive ever received tbh, i think when people get to make 130$ for 30 minutes of talking they just become corrupt tbh. ik some people might have felt better after talking to them but i've deadass had one who straight up bullyied me bc i didn't want to talk to him, like he called me fat and lazy just because i wasnt speaking to him...

and this place was run by people who weren't technically therapists, just people who took a week long training corse

there was also a woman who would yell at kids for stupid shit, i was screamed at bc i gave my friend bath and body works hand cream for Christmas. it was unopened. this lady screamed her head off for me to take it back, and look, if its therapy you'd imagine people there might be triggered by yelling but um.... yeah no, she did not care
