nightreign's lore #1: the baron of night
-
adel, baron of night was the apex predator of a old island where it lived. before it was transformed by the night, adel was a wonder of the natural world, a giant, majestic dragon.
yet, all was lost once the night came. everything upon adel's island died and withered away, leaving adel nothing to feed upon. leaving it hungry. that hunger led the dragon to madness, its very skull splitting into a larger jaw with hundreds of rows of teeth, as adel turned to the night in a fruitless attempt to satisfy "a ravening unending."
