back in the day, gay men wern't allowed in the US military. gay men had a phrase to recignize fellow gay men, ''friends of Dorothy''. the military caught on and they were trying to figure out where tf this Dorothy bitch was only to find out they were talking about Dorothy from the wizard of oz as apperntly she used to be a gay icon/symbol
