yeah it def gets more complex if you have like, specific roadblocks learning-wise (i'm still learning music but it's kinda painful, but i made a really cool song in ultraabox recently)

There's also the issue of finding tutorials or even knowing what you don't know

Brackeys 2D Platformer tutorial for godot is amazing and I started out with it personally

It kind of just ended up being really simple for me from just doing it and focusing on whatever specific problem I have rn like:

Beginner at something -> Beginner tutorial (donut tutorial, etc.)

How to design a platformer game -> "Why celeste is the best platformer ever"

Beginner at adding multiplayer to godot game -> Godot multiplayer tutorial or documentation

How to add rollback netcode to fighting game -> rollback netcode pseudo-code as first google search result followed by "how to use the godot rollback netcode addon" because it's too complex lol

etc. idk

edit: 20 minutes on switch makes me paranoid so i revise the post through edits instead

:visited applies when the target link (the href attribute in the <a> tag) is in the browser's history. If you're in private browsing mode, or the link isn't in the history, then it won't apply. It could also be a css priority issue: https://www.w3schools.com/css/css_specificity.asp (the order that the rules get applied in).

The parent page can also override some styles. You could prove if the visited state is working by removing all styling, observing that it's Blue, then visiting it, and observing that it's Purple (these are the defaults, for most browsers). If that's working, then you should be able to test your custom style. I'm happy to answer more questions about this: HTML can be fun to work with!
