I'd like to join the staff team because the website needs mods rn. The website has been going downhill moderation-wise because of the lack of them. I also want to increase the pool of submissions so staff arent forced to pick bad candidates. One time, on a minecraft server called Rhaya (spinoff of Alathra), there were mod applications but only bad candidates applied so the whole server went downhill (like ego people who dont understand that power is responsibility like spiderman). I also think that i'm just a really good candidate for being a moderator, i'd have to change a lot of my behavior though.
- What are your Goals within the Team, if hired? (4+ Sentences)
Mostly just only take action in obvious cases like the whole raven thing was insane to watch and not be able to do anything about it since a mod wasn't online. I also just want to encourage non-toxic behavior (although i've kinda already been doing that). I'll probably gain more confidence overtime and start handling less obvious nuanced cases though, where the rules dont clearly apply to that case. But my main goals have to be approving clearly okay posts in the post queue, and taking action when its so obvious that action needs to be taken
- How do you handle Failure? (5+ Sentences)
I think I made a whole post about failure being self-growth before this lol. ("How to not Rage At Video Games"). I handle failure by immediately correcting my mistakes, acknowledging them, and apologizing if anyone was effected. Knowing about failure and not ignoring it is the path to self-growth. Oh god no 5 sentences. I also always listen to criticism even if its not even valid or rude because of the risk of not knowing failure. I also just dont get mad when I fail lol

I cant access discord, but it seemingly intentionally got changed to being only preferred and dms/group chats already exist on this website so
I'm basically on the website 24/7I'll 100% need to stop doing certain things, but im self-aware so I just won't do those things anymore if im mod lol (mostly just s*itbox stupidity or shitposting, also all of the times I talked about things that aren't allowed to be talked about, reacted to others' behavior with weird come-backs despite them obviously trolling, im also really self-critical)

I'm also only on switch for BDNS for the same reason as discord, I can't open BDNS on my computer because of my previously mentioned parents. I can use literally anything else on my computer though. It feels like the mod ui supports switch though, considering not being on switch wasn't a requirement
